Aha, I laugh I die when I see the celebration of Kenya’s new “important” status in the world because of one visit and a few photographs, with the visiting head. The reality is Africa is just an afterthought if the campaign platforms of many/all candidates are to be weighed in. The issues are immigration, immigration, immigration and cutting down welfare and increasing taxes on the rich depending on which side of the divide one is from.
Africa? Where the heck is Africa? Is it a continent or a country? Three quarters of the Americans have never been out of their home State, or they have visited one or two states. Any one state is as large as any country in Africa.
Policy on Africa, well, we are more interested in bringing back the manufacturing jobs from China and the customer service jobs from India…that’s it, and of course keeping away Ebola…perhaps Africa can be used as a military base, beyond that??? Oil? Heck no! Lots of oil in the Dakotas, enough to cover the next 200 years…
