University of Eldoret students were this morning on a demo after the institution posted students exam results publicly on the noticeboards. Formerly Chepkoilel Campus (of Moi University), the institution decision to share students performance has been opposed by the students who claim academic performance is a personal matter.
“University continuous assessment tests and examinations should be between the individual student and the lecturer. We are not in another race to go to Starehe [boys center and school] or to the university. We are already here,” lamented a student.
It is reported that the university has called for an urgent meeting, though the students concerns may not be addressed as the decision is said to have been passed by the institution’s senate resolution.
