Observers put the cost of Uhuru’s Uganda trip to Ksh 500,000.
By Hon Jim B
Here is how social media pundit Jim Bonnie put it:
When Uhuru stood up to address Uganda parliament, I thought he was going to ask his buddy, president Museveni, to quit politics because he has been in power for far too long and is very OLD. I just discovered that this “you are old retire” song is only sang to Raila and his supporters, which is not funny at all.
This duplicity and doublespeak by people in power must stop or they be stopped!
We can not have a sinful government that thrives on pettiness and political witch-hunt even when national discourse need to be accorded seriousness it deserves. The president can not gobble taxpayers money only to display glittering photos to Kenyans from the other side of the boarder. Was the trip worth it?
Such dictatorial tendencies and totalitarianism common with most African strong men in power need to be condemned by all Kenyans and especially now that such idiocy is being witnessed in Kenya.
On this, I ask my party to question the merit of the trip. Raila must not do it. Dennis Onyango (Raila spokesman) or ODM Director of communications Phillip Etale should send a press statement to all media houses asking pertinent questions and seeking answers. We need to know the cost of the trip and benefit accrued to Kenya. This might just be another “hustlers jet saga”.
I also call upon Dennis, Raila’s spokesman to stop being too gloomy, selfish and reserved. As jakom’s spokesman, he must look for controversies and wars on behalf of his master and fight them. When dealing with a rogue regime, you must harden your balls – you have no choice. We are in war, not wedding party man!
