THE bodies of two men stuffed into two sacks lay at a bus stop in Muguga, Kikuyu, for three days last weekend before they were discovered.
Police, who collected the bodies on Sunday, believe the middle-aged men were killed elsewhere and dumped at the Kiambaa stage on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
Residents said they noticed the sacks at a flower bed on Friday.
On Sunday evening, they decided to investigate.
“We pass the flower bed every day. We were curious to know what was in those bags. When we saw dead men, we were shocked and called the police,” boda boda operator David Gicharu said.
Kiambu county police commander James Mugera said the two unidentified men appeared to have been maimed before they were killed.
“No local family has reported any member missing,†he told the Star on the phone yesterday.
He said the men were most likely robbed by the killers.
“They didn’t have anything in their pockets that could identify them,” Mugera said.
He said the two men’s hands were tied with rope.
The police boss thanked members of the public for providing the police with the information.
