Jubilee zealots have finally exposed their full hypocrisy. Everyone thought that being industrious and hardworking, as they derogatory claim, there would have been none on the road for Kamwana arrival.
How they are senselessly dancing and singing themselves hoarse while lining and running along the streets of Nairobi have demonstrated in action and word that their abhorrent intolerance and besmirching ethnic bigotry towards other divergent political opinions is mere scandalous hypocrisy.
Kweli Nyani haoni kundule.
The truth of the matter is that the country is being treated to ethnic jamboree hidden under veneer of national welcome. How can a person returning from attending a ‘personal challenge’ at the international criminal court for serious crimes that prick human conscience stall entire community daily life?
But the return of Uhuru, served raw on national TV as ‘triumphant’ has massively flopped.
Mockery of our intelligence
I see all the common, little people gathered to welcome Uhuru and I say, ’fools’. One would think he is Napoleon Bonaparte back from his exploits in Moscow.
I normally find it repetitive to belabor self-standing points but for the purpose of emphasis and clarity let me say that whatever Uhuru did before his departure to The Hague was nothing more than riding on the ignorance of Kenyans. I wonder who told William Ruto to accept such a miserable power arrangement.
I have read political pundits claim that Uhuru’s strategy is vintage and that the opposition has been fully torpedoed. The question I ask is, how can a strategy based on deception be vintage? Worse still, how can an already crippled opposition be torpedoed?
Much as I have my reservations about the ICC (every sane mind has reservation), I find nothing exceptional with a president responding to a summon and coming back, for heaven’s sake, Omar El Bashir has a bounty on his head.
I have even heard others muse that Uhuru Kenyatta is a continental colossus; that my friends, is hot air, it’s the joke of the century.
Now,would you compare a crimes against humanity ‘indictee’ with Nelson Mandela who spent countless number of years in prison for fighting for the liberation of his people? Africa has had many lions; from Samora Machel to Thomas Sankara to Mandela to Col. Gadhafi, and many more are yet to come, but Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta may never be listed alongside these great Africans, not with this kind of tomfoolery.
Kenyans deserve a working president. So far, we have only witnessed executive tribalism, political repositioning and nothing for the common man to write home about. Its a sad tale.
