Deputy President William Ruto got highly critical of those calling for his ‘fixers’ from the TNA (formerly PNU) side of the government to quit and asked what should happen to the Kalenjins in his fixing list too.
Speaking in vernacular at the Eldoret Sports Club, the same venue where he first openly rallied the Kalenjins to support Uhuru, Ruto was categorical that calls for some people in government to be sacked due to providing incriminating evidence at the Hague against him are insincere, since they only seem to target the Kikuyu community.
Kericho Senator was the first to raise the storm over Ruto fixers in government. Earlier, Ruto defense team at the ICC had mentioned former internal security PS Mutea Iringo, State House official Nancy Gitau and others among Ruto fixers.
When he rose to speak, President Uhuru is said to have categorically stated that no one will be sacked from his government over fixing Ruto. Uhuru said those thinking that his government will not survive are jokers.
Uhuru repeated his sentiments that the Jubilee Alliance will rule for 20 years.
“Waache Uhuru amalize miaka kumi na makamu wake pia achukuwe uongozi amalize miaka 10, ndio hao wengine wafanye vile wanataka,” [ let them let me finish 10 years, then my Deputy another 10 years, and the rest can do as they wish] President Kenyatta is quoted to have said.
