FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NAIROBI, 6TH DEC., 2015.
————————–
We condemn in the STRONGEST terms possible all and any attempts aimed at sacrificing Media Freedom, Free Speech and Freedom After Speech – at the alter of latter-day autocratic and regressive tendencies sprouting up within the Republic. All forces of repression must be warned that Progressive Forces shall not relent and will fight for a Freer, more Democratic and Developed Nation upto the Last Woman and Last Man left standing.
We stand firmly in FULL solidarity with Jimmie Bonnie.
Silas Jakakimba,
Field and Political Affairs Advisor
to the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga.
Deputy President William Ruto’s online general Steve Kewa has also condemned the abduction of the prolific blogger;
When will Kenya stop this culture of coward kidnaps and secret arrests? I thought if an individual writes something inappropriate he / she is summoned by the relevant authorities and procedural open/public legal action taken .The dissappearance of Blogger @Hon Jimmy Bonnie is evil and doesn’t go without saying freedom of expression is NOT equal to injustice.
This is NOT a matter of CORD but it concerns all Kenyans on Social Media. noted Kewa in his Facebook Timeline
