Raila consoles Garissa Attack Survivors at hospital
———————————————————————-
CORD Leader Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga was this morning visiting survivors of the Garissa University terror attack who are admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Hon Odinga was accompanied by Senators James Orengo (Siaya) and Johnstone Muthama (Machakos), and Hon Peter Odoyo who is a former Nyakach MP and member of the ODM National Elections Board.

The CORD leaders became the first national leaders to visit the deeply traumatized students in hospital most of whom are nursing serious bullet injuries.

CORD leaders walked into the wards and together with KNH top doctors spoke to each and every student who painfully narrated their ordeal and the hands of masked gunmen who invaded their campus at dawn Thursday morning. Later Raila also visited the KNH Casualty areas where some of the victims were awaiting admissions.

Raila led the CORD leaders to offer them their sympathies and later while addressing the media strongly condemned the attack while at the same time calling for the government to do all it can to avert these attacks. Raila also appealed to Kenyans not to apportion blame to anyone but instead learn to come together and unite to face the common enemy who was causing so much pain and anguish to Kenyan families. Raila also asked the international community to come to Kenya’s assistance in helping curb terrorism.and improve domestic and regional security.
