CORD leader Raila Odinga is today expected in Kisumu County where he is set to deliver a keynote address at the “Invest in Kisumu” exposition. Odinga will be hosted by Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma and a host of leaders in the region.
Odinga is keen to see counties which voted him and CORD develop in spite of being in the opposition. In recent months, the PM has led delegations of governors to the US in search of investments partners and opportunities for Kenyan products.
At the Lakeside city, the PM will seek to convince both local and foreign investors that Kisumu is indeed a premier investment destination.
The Kisumu trip comes quick after Odinga led a high powered campaign team which recaptured the Bungoma by election and sent back opposition Senate Minority leader Moses Wetangula back to the senate legislature. Odinga has warned CORD elected leaders over slackening in service delivery to the people, saying leadership is a call to serve, not to rule.
