Prime Minister Raila Odinga to VISIT Baringo County, meet victims of BANDIT ATTACK

April 14, 2015 Leave a Comment

ODM/CORD leader Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga is this Thursday (16th April 2015) scheduled to make a one day tour of Baringo County. Mr. Odinga will tour several areas within the county in the wake of the spate of insecurity in the region where over 100 people have been killed, hundreds of others injured and thousands displaced.

The poor state of security in the area continues to cause tension among the locals leading to the closure of schools and markets for fear of banditry attacks, slowing down the local economy. This is despite the assurance by the government that insecurity has been curbed and life back to normalcy.

The following is Mr. Odinga’s programme for the day;

1000Hrs MUCHONGOI DIVISION : Public Baraza at Kabel Centre.

0200Hrs LOITIP
: Public Baraza at Loitip Primary School.

During the two meetings, Mr. Odinga and his entourage will condole with the families of the bereaved families, whose beloved ones died from the bandits’ bullet. He will also listen to the locals and speak with them in a bid to finding out the root cause of the problem.

The media is invited to cover these two meetings.

Regards.
