Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi failed to turn up to parliament to table his motion on impeachment of Anne Waiguru. The TNA legislator is reported to have jetted out of the country  to South Africa even as MPs waited for him to appear in parliament.
Earlier, he had hosted several MPs in PanAfric Hotel where sources claim he spent over Ksh 500,000 ‘marshalling’ support for the motion.
When it apparent that Linuturi would not appear in the house, an MP from Kisii region attempted to take over the motion but was ruled out of order by the speaker.
Several Kalenjin URP MPs who had lined up to support the motion left the precepts of parliament in a huff after word went round that the motion would not be tabled.
All this time, sources privy to the shenanigans around ‘TNA impeaching Waiguru’ reveal the whole show was a well-orchestrated drama by TNA to first ‘steal the show’ from URP then bungle the whole process using its parliament arm.
