The Party of National Unity (PNU) on Suday had to put up a paid advertisement dismissing allegations from Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria that he worked for the party around 2009 after the 2007/08 post-election violence to procure witnesses to ‘fix’ the Deputy President William Ruto.
With the denial by PNU, the mystery of who Hon. Moses Kuria was working for when he and others set up Ruto points to other quarters. Kuria, according to ODM, worked for President Uhuru and operated from Uhuru Kenyatta Centre, a secretariat based at Baden Powell house, then headed by David Murathe, now JAP vice-chairperson.
PNU claimed it championed for a local tribunal but the attempts were defeated by pro-Hague MPs which included ODM rebels led by DP Ruto and those loyal to President Uhuru.
“These efforts were defeated by a vocal ‘don’t be vague, let’s go to The Hague’ grouping of members of the 10th Parliament,†the statement said.
“As the judge said, the animals are innocent, PNU is innocent,†it stated.
