In an Infotrak poll which weighs perception of constituents on the performance of their MPs, a number of  ODM politicians have ranked top performers followed closely by their JAP colleagues.
Emuhaya’s Dr. Wilber Ottichilo leads as the MP with highest approval ratings followed by Sirisia MP Major (rtd) John Weluke.
At position three is  Rarieda MP Engineer Nicholas Gumbo who was recently elected PAC chair followed by David Ochieng’ of Ugenya and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed.
Likuyani MP Dr Enock Kibunguchi, Mvita’s Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir and Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba also top list of opposition high achievers.
Teso South’s Mary Emaase (URP) and Kimani Ichungwah (TNA) emerged position three and five overall.
Ms Angela Ambitho, the CEO of Infotrak, said 29,000 respondents were interviewed countrywide with at least 100 from each sub-county in the survey conducted between last December and February.
Most of these MPs have been quite vocal on the floor of the National Assembly or have been active members of their various parliamentary committees. Others are youthful but influential players in their political parties.
Ms Ambitho said respondents were only asked about their general rating, but not on specific questions about their MPs’ performance.
“It’s important to note that the index is limited to the perception of the respective sub-county residents. For instance, the CountyTrak MPs’ index for Emuhaya was determined only by the residents of Emuhaya Sub-County/Constituency,†she said.
Residents were asked a general question: “How would you rate the performance of your MP on a scale of 1-10, where 1 is extremely poor and 10 is excellent?â€
The polls have been published in Nation newspaper.
