New PAC formed as Ababu, four MPs moved to other committees

Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee has been reconstituted as ousted chair Ababu Namwamba and four former members moved to various committees.

ODM has replaced three MPs in the committee with new members. Those brought to PAC include Eng. Nicholas Gumbo (Rarieda), Hon. Abdikadir Aden (Mbalambala), and Timothy Bosire. They will replace Hon Namwamba, Hon Abbas and Hon. Omondi Anyanga of Nyatike constituency.

Notable names retained in the committee include ODM Chairman John Mbadi and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed.

The Jubilee side also removed Hon Cecily Mbarire and replaced her with Hon. Kanini Kega. Also removed is Kesses MP Hon. James Bett has been replaced by Hon. Kangogo Bowen.

Ford Kenya also brought to the committee Hon. Eseli Simiyu who will be replaced by Hon Richard Tong’i at the Budget and Appropriations Committee.
