The last 5 years have seen more sabotage than implementation of the Constitution of Kenya (2010). Nkt!
Shame on the Kenyan leadership. The governments of the day leadership have shown unrivaled enthusiasm in pursuing and exploiting growth gaps in the constitutional architecture for selfish, demeaning and self preservation posturing.
On the other hand, the opposition has preoccupied with its own phantasmagorical scenarios won political battles strongly founded on hope, deficit of strategic positioning and incorrigibly episodic to feelgood emotions.
The governance civil society family has found comfort in desktop, i-pad and razzmatazz show off criticism and after event critisms while effectively using their pedestal to fake political influence till they make it by election, appointment of consultancy into the mainstream political gravy train.
The citizenship has succeeded in sleeping on their laurels and eloquently interpreted having sovereignty and public participation as equivalent to being a theatre audience, cheering squad or at best lord that have to be served ready made good governance.
The question beg to ask is, who really was ready for this Constitution? I do not mean, who was merely tired of the old order!
Happy 5th Anniversary Constitution of Kenya (2010)!
Long Live Kenya!
