The ODM has strongly dismissed as Jubilee propaganda claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s political turfs have dominated the ongoing mass voter registration process and that the polls have been “won”.
The Party’s Director of Elections Junet Mohammed known in ODM circles as Democrat from Suna said ODM independent tally per county and per constituency reveals that Jubilee is trailing the Nasa behemoth by far
According to Junet, the statistics were the first cleares signal that Kenyans are tired of a tribal, irredeemably corrupt and an inept administration.
Junet said the media was conveniently and erroneously using old provinces to designate what regions are Nasa’s political bedrocks and what regions are Jubilee’s.
“The truth of which regions are facing acute voter crisis is no longer a matter of conjecture or speculations considering the desperate low Jubilee leaders have sunk while whipping their voters to register,”Junet said in a statement to newsrooms.
The media both electronic and print –– especially by “Jubilee babe” Jacque Maribe has been allover, claiming Uhuru has already won a second term.
According to the Suna East MP, the whole government has stopped and the entire State machinery has descended “on forgotten villages to scout for non-existent “numbers”.
“The whole government has stopped working as the President and his Deputy, the whole cabinet, principal secretaries, parastatal heads and security forces descend on forgotten villages to scout for non-existent ‘numbers’,”Junet said.
“Scare-mongering, fear mongering and warnings of dire consequences to befall communities have failed to excite people. Now Jubilee’s only hope is to cook the figures and propagate fake numbers”.
Uhuru and his allies have been using Raila phobia’ propaganda to boost their numbers, selling Opposition Chief Raila Odinga as the bogeyman.
Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu even said if Raila wins, Mt Kenya residents will be humiliated and forced to remove their trousers and wear shorts.
NCIC led by toothless Francis Ole Kaparo has not instituted any hatespeech charges yet.
However, the narrative has refused to work and Mount Kenya West as well as South Rift is trooping back to ODM.
“ You saw yesterday when I went to Meru. Would you say that is a Jubilee stronghold? You go to the Rift Valley, a huge chunk of it, would you say it’s a Jubilee stronghold?” Raila posed last week.
In his statement, Junet said Nasa supporters should not to be demoralised by what he termed heightened propaganda and falsehoods on the alleged poor turnout.
“The voter listing exercise is ongoing and we continue to witness massive turnout by our supporters who are undertaking this exercise despite the many obstacles erected in their paths particularly the near impossibility of accessing national identity cards which remains the only tool of sabotage by the Jubilee regime. This is despite a presidential directive to registration officials to issue IDs within three days,”Junet said.
