Nairobi TNA Kikuyu MPs join CORD’s Governor Kidero in anti-Sonko political war ahead of 2017
Watch the video:
Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero has now received the support of TNA MPS who are urging him not to step aside over the EACC dossier which linked him to massive corruption at City Hall and Mumias Sugar.
Nairobi Women Representative Rachael Shebesh and Starehe MP Maina Kamada who are both TNA MPs have gone against President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive to those implicated in the EACC explosive dossier to step aside.
Kamanda and Shebesh have told Kidero to ignore calls by Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko to step aside and they have urged him to crack down on the Sonko Rescue Team that has been offering free services to the city residents.
The two MPs were speaking during a Sunday service at Eastleigh where they were heckled by members of St. Polycarp Church in Mlango Kubwa when they claimed that Sonko has not paid members of the Sonko Rescue Team their dues.
Kidero is accused of fleecing millions of Shillings from the collapsed Mumias Sugar Company and also financial malpractise at City Hall, but the Governor has defied calls to step aside and allow for investigations on the corruption allegations.
But now it seems the Governor has employed new tricks to survive the storm. It’s reported that Kidero pays each of the TNA MPs who accompany him to Sunday services Shs 500,000 to hit out at Sonko and damage his plans to oust him from City Hall in 2017.
So far Kidero has managed to recruit Shebesh, Kamanda, Dagoreti South MP Dennis Waweru Kasarani MP Njoroge, Roysambu MP Ndirangu Waihenya and Embakasi Central MP John Ndirangu who are hired to ensure Sonko’s bid for City Hall in 2017 is punctured.
In a quick rejoinder Sonko has dismissed the Kidero campaign as the last kicks of a dying donkey not even a horse.
In a twitter message Sonko has vowed that he’ll not disband his rescue team and that he will continue giving free services to Nairobians and all Kenyans.

“Even if they’ve ganged up against me, I will not stop my services to the people. Serving the people in need is serving God. I will rely on the people and God and not a demi God from City Hal.†said Sonko.
