Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has hinted Deputy President William Samoei Ruto is through with the theatrics of the Hague-based International Criminal Court.
Speaking in Marakwet East during a peace meeting, Murkomen urged the DP to boycott remaining sessions of his case as the ICC had become a political tool.
“This is no longer a judicial process, it is becoming political. How can the court allow recanted statements? That is unacceptable in legal practice and we will ask the Deputy President to boycott the court,†said Murkomen.
Murkomen has given the ICC ultimatum to throw away the cases facing DP Ruto and Joshua Arap Sang or Kenya will pull out of the Rome Statute.
