Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has confirmed he will take part in first Lady Margret Kenyatta’s BEYOND ZERO Nairobi Marathon. Sonko becomes the first top politician to confirm participation in this year event.

Several key personalities from the corporate sector have confirmed participation, a few weeks ago Mama Margret hosted top female Radio personalities in statehouse Nairobi for an earlier morning jog part of the ongoing preparation.

The beyond zero campaign just like Sonko Rescue Team is gaining popularity among the city’s low class residents.

Sonko Rescue Team this week received a boost when the Kenya Red Cross society offered to train staff in basic emergency rescue mission skills like first aid.

The controversial Nairobi senator has been accused by the elite of Nairobi of operating a rag tag army of sorts in the name of Sonko Rescue Team but slum dwellers are ever grateful for initiative that has saved many from agony.

Sonko is very close to president Kenyatta and mama Margret.
