A number of Jubilee politicians thronged Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to receive returning athletes who made Kenya top world charts for the first time in the history of athletics.
The group was led by Deputy President William Samoei Ruto, TNA Chairman Johnson Sakaja, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko and his Elgeyo Marakwet counterpart Kipchumba Murkomen.
“Our athletes have made history. This is exceptional and we are proud of you. On behalf of the President and the people of Kenya we are deeply in indebted to you. You have shown the world a Magical Kenya full of tremendous opportunity,” posted the Deputy Presdent on his Facebook page.
