‘Lieutenant Wadi’ Secretly CONVICTED, TORTURED and JAILED for 2 Years for “Undermining Uhuru”

January 2, 2015

Allan Wadi Okong’o who was recently arrested while crossing or in Uganda was apparently presented to court, convicted and jailed for two years without a fine for “undermining the authority of President Uhuru.”

According to police sources, Allan was psychologically tortured and bullied into admitting the offence with a promise that he would only get a light sentence for the offence but he was surprised when the final verdict was delivered in the case.

According to the charge sheet which quoted Section 13 (a), (b) and 2 of the National Cohesion Act, the charge sheet read as in the picture below. The charges and manner of his conviction presents various questions.

Allan was jailed by one Anne Waguru who is a resident magistrate at the Milimani Law Courts. Only State House allied bloggers had access to the case. Allan’s case was not listed at Milimani Law Courts.

Some of the questions raised by human rights activists include;

Why was the accused DENIED access to legal representation
Non of his close relatives got access to him during the interrogation
Why the Magistrate did not stay the sentence a waiting a medical examination?
