Kenyatta University alumni have received news of the death their VC Prof Eshiwani with disbelieve, sadness and sorrow. Here are some of the reactions:>>>

Former Chairman of Student union KUSA Mr Omari Isaac Mokaya posted:>>

I have learnt with sadness the demise of Prof.George Sammy Eshiwani,as the KUSA chairman and student in KU I had a chance to closely know George as a very articulate, and focused VC,whom happened to work in a terrible political environment that caused certain excesses.Overall George unlike some other university top managers knew the functioning of the university.Since graduation I have met him once and recalled our time in KU.

Some of us live to see the big picture,my 2 year suspension from KU,did not hold me down to bear grudges because I got to know the kind of system they served.I tend to believe,if he were to work in a new dispensation,he is among a few VCs who had foresight for university education.

May his soul rest in peace

Wahome Thuku: A blogger and Standard Media journalist also a KU alumni and former student leader had a brief comment thus RIP Prof G.S. Eshiwani. You taught me how to handle ruthlessness in life.
