Kisumu MCA ‘already a failure’ tells his voters he won’t be on the ballot come 2017

August 25, 2014

This is the sad conclusion that Hon. Philip Anayo, the MCA of Kisumu’s Market Ward, reached and shared with his voters. It appears Anayo is the first politician in Kenya to own up and accept he may be on his way out come 2017.

“I wont stop saying thank you to those who voted me in and I will never have enough words to say so but its unfortunate that I may not be able to fulfill my election pledges as promised however much I try with my 3 job description as per the constitution 2010 and County government Act 2012 which are .
1. Legislation
2. Represention
3. Oversight
As an MCA I dnt have powers to implement and the implementor in this case is either not serious or has misplaced priorities and because of the tyranny of numbers I have very little I can do hence wonder what al tell my people come 2017 if the pledges I promised are not fulfilled …. inshort its good as saying in 2017 al be a voter”.
