Nairobi governor Dr Evans Kidero has supported a section of the Jubilee leadership pushing to pay billions of shillings to faceless Anglo-leasing companies and individuals.
“Kenya has always depended on donors and we should not miss on Sh120 billion for the sake of Sh1 billion,†Kidero said.
Kidero, a CORD affiliate politician, becomes the first top opposition politician to openly endorse the payments. He was speaking at Mutuini village in Dagoreti South.
Kidero also demanded that the opposition CORD should give President Uhuru time to deliver its promises.
His comments are set to draw ire from the CORD side owing to the fact that Kidero was himself elected on a party – ODM – which is in the opposition.
