Outspoken Kakamuga Senator Boni Khalwale has once again urged UDF Party leader Musalia Mudavadi to declare his presidential ambitions early to avoid being used by the Jubilee politicians as happened in the last elections.
Khalwale maintained he is a UDF elected leader working with like-minded politicians to serve the people. Khalwale, though a UDF parliamentarian, works closely with CORD despite UDF signing a ‘coalition’ agreement with the Jubilee regime.
The Kakamega senator also told off former Shinyalu MP Justus Kizito to stop using his name to gain political relevance.
Khalwale wants Mudavadi to come out to avoid being used to divide the Luhya community ahead of the all important 2017 elections. The senator said Bungoma Senator and himself will deliver Luhya unity and wants leaders from the region to get ready to work together to flex their numerical strength which ideally should balance the Mt. Kenya bloc vote.
The senator was addressing the media in Nairobi, where political observers have in the past mentioned his name as among potential CORD successors to incumbent governor Dr. Evans Kidero.
