Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi has reiterated that he is ready to face a firing squad if he is found guilty in the latest corruption allegation facing him and other four cabinet secretaries.
Speaking in his office on Sunday, Kambi said he was innocent and that he was confident he will be vindicated.
“Even though I don’t know my accusers nor the accusations levelled against. For the mere mention of my name in the president’s submission to parliament I have stepped aside. The move is to pave way for smooth investigations by the EACC. As a law-abiding citizen who also respect the rule of law. I would not want my staying in office to hamper the investigations,” Kambi said.
He also called for action taken against his accusers if they can not substantiate corruption claims they levelling against him and his other colleagues in cabinet.
