CORD co-principal and former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka has saidÂ CORD as an alternative government will use its top leaders’ spheres of influence, connections and goodwill across the globe to help boost the economy of Kenya, which affects all citizens.
Kenya may soon be home to one of the twenty Chinese industrial parks across the world after a successful meeting today between former Vice President of Kenya Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka and the leadership of Hebei province led by the Vice Governor Qin Bo-Yong at Taihang State Guesthouse, Shijiazhuang City.
The Vice Governor who was accompanied by Hebei provincial department of Commerce officials led by the director Mr. Xu Li-lin expressed their governmentâ€™s willingness to invest in the establishment of an industrial park.
The Chinese industrial parks, which are the equivalent to the Kenyaâ€™s proposed economic zones but at a much larger scale, are timely projects, which will work well with the Kenyaâ€™s Vision 2030 blueprint.
In the proposal, the Hebei province provided guidelines, which are a step-by-step manual to winning investment confidence from the country.
They included guideline by the state, construction by enterprises, appraisal by experts and policy support by the countries and County.
When realized, the industrial park will create hundreds of jobs to the youth and boost the economy of the country by leaps.
The industrial park which houses interrelated industries, which normally exploit resources available to a particular region will perfectly serve the newly created counties in Kenya, which have different resources and climate thus providing an array of opportunities.
In the meeting, Kitui County, one of the 47 counties in Kenya was proposed to host the industrial park due to its massive reserve of coal and limestone, which is a key proponent in the manufacturing of cement.
He said as CORD and alternative government, it is their duty to use their spheres of influence, connections and goodwill across the globe to help boost the economy of Kenya, which affects all citizens.
The Former Vice president who has been in China for the WECBA (World Eminent Chinese Businessmen Association) capital forum, which closed yesterday, took the opportunity to woo investors to come to invest in our country.
The Wiper leader today visited Zhongfa Group a leading electronic manufacturing company in the capital Beijing and later proceeded to Henan province where he toured Yu Cheng Brick material company Ltd, a company that specializes in mass brick making using coal located in Jun Xian district.
After the tour the wiper leader expressed confidence that such industries are viable in Kenya especially with the anticipation of construction of Konza techno city and the mining of coal in Kitui County.
On the investment meeting, the former Vice President and the Vice Governor of Hebei province agreed on setting up an official communication channel between the county of Kitui and the Province of Hebei.
