A High court has reinstated six commissioners suspended by President Uhuru Kenyatta over the weekend in a move set to heighten territorial wars between the two arms of the government.
Justice George Odunga also suspended the  tribunal appointed by Uhuru to investigate the commissioners and recommended a three judge bench  to hear the matter.
JSC had moved to court challenging the suspension of its members by the president despite an existing court order barring such an action.
The action of the president was also opposed by the opposition CORD with leader Raila Odinga terming the move an affront to the rule of law.
The members who were suspended are Prof. Christine Mango, Ahmednassir Abdullahi, Hon. Justice Mohamed Warsame, Emily Ominde, Reverend Samuel Kobia and Florence Mwangangi.
