During the JKL Show on Citizen TV Wednesday night, two children Wendy Waeni, a gymnist and Ellyanne Githae, a nature enthusiast, broke down on live TV.
Citizen TV news anchor, Jeff Koinange, asked the girls, whom many have come to love for their gifted nature, why they were only talking about their mothers and not their fathers during the interview.
“I met him for the first time in 2017, he left us because he said Kenya was not a good place to live in and then now, he is really forbidding what he said.
The first time I went to meet him I was so excited, it went well but I did not like the first expression of my cat,” Ellyanne narrated, struggling to hold her tears back.
The Citizen TV anchor turned the question to MS Waeni while trying to calm down Ellyanne, who was crying uncontrollably.
“It was really tough with my mum alone. Back then she didn’t have a job and he just left us. He is my dad, I have never had a male figure in my life, so I would like him to get in touch,” she noted.
Ms Waeni also noted that she did not hold any grudge against her father and would gladly welcome him back into her life.
“Yes dad I forgive you, I don’t know where you are but I forgive you, please just come back home, I miss you,” she stated, trying to hold herself together.
Leyla Mohammed, a musician, jumped in on the conversation, making a light moment of the situation.
The 14-year-old told the Citizen TV news anchor that her father had also left her at a young age, making her the head of the family.
“Think of the positive side, I can bravely say that I am the head of the family now. For me I forgave him a lot time ago and I wish him the best of luck,” she stated with a smile on her face.

Are you watching #JKL and wondering who in the name of our ancestors is Joe Mwangi? Well, wonder no more. Here is the motherfucker that conned little Wendy Waeni. Wendy is that little girl from Eastlands who performed before President Uhuru. The little girl has performed in about 7countries and Joe Mwangi pocket all the proceeds. I mean everything, leaving her living in a single room and her mother selling sweets and cigarettes at night. What stops DCI from knocking on his door early in the morning?
