TNA allied politicians are blaming Deputy President William Ruto for silently supporting an impeachment motion on President Uhuru.
According to the MPs, Ruto handlers believe the Deputy President needs to be president ‘as fast as possible’ to clear his name at the ICC.
Kenya Today has learnt that panic hit the government after Kericho Senator Charles Keter, known to be the tactician behind DP Ruto politics, met CORD Senate Minority Leader Moses Wetangula for close to an hour before 15 CORD MPs and Senators addressed a press briefing yesterday and revealed the opposition will move a vote of no confidence on the President.
The TNA wing of the jubilee regime believe URP has secretly started canvassing with the opposition. They also cite the loud silence of URP MPs, especially Kalenjin MPs, in defending embattled CS Anne Waiguru.
CORD Leader Raila Odinga is said to be opposed to the impeachment move, saying the President should pay teachers without much ado.
According to Odinga, failure by the President to follow court orders will plunge the country into anarchy as people will follow. Odinga warns that the President should be the highest embodiment of the rule of law.
