Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale last weekend challenged Deputy President William Ruto to not bother contesting the presidency in 2017 as him and President Uhuru have failed miserably.
Khalwale accused Ruto and Uhuru of staffing their government with two tribes at the expense of the other 40, setting ground for violent future conflicts.
Khalwale, who has stated he will defend his seat on an ODM ticket, stated the opposition was capable of running a successful government if given the chance.
When he stood to speak, DP Ruto however rubbished Khalwale, saying that the government was well on its course to deliver the promises they made to the people of Kenya.
Ruto also mentioned that the current security problem in the country was a responsibility of everyone and that the government needs support in the war against terror. The two were speaking during a funds drive in Kakamega County.
