Mbita MP Mille Odhiambo’s desire for another term in parliament is in jeopardy as opponents gang up against her for various political ‘offences’.
In 2017, Ms. Odhiambo would have served 10 clean years, enough to ‘last her a lifetime’, as one of her opponents told this writer.
“Her time is up. She should thank us and move on to take care of her young family…otek chuth,” a messaged left to this writer reads.
In 2007, she was nominated by ODM to represent women and minorities. Come 2013, she vied and won in her birthplace of Mbita, becoming the first woman to represent the constituency which was earlier represented in parliament by the late Hon. Otieno Kajwang’.
At least five aspirants have shown interest to unseat her, including ex-Raila Odinga aide Silas Jakakimba, US based banker Kajwang’ Jagembe (not related to the Kanjwangs), Senator Moses Kajwang’, Engineer Onyango Odhiambo (Toronto) and Benson Oteko (Businesman Kapenguria).
