Suna East MP Junet Mohammed has exuded confidence the ODM grassroots polls kicking off in Migori County and other areas will be peaceful and successful.
Hon. Junet who is the Director of Campaigns of the Orange Party urged the grassroots to come out in large numbers and elect new leaders who will rejuvenate the grassroots ahead of 2017 nationwide polls.
“I urge our grassroots supporters and candidates for various seats to keep peace during the grassroots elections. Remember, we are strengthening our grassroots to have a team able to sell our message ahead of 2017”
The Suna East legislator urged supporters to guard party electoral materials against intentional destruction, saying the polls are costly to the party but is the price the party pays for upholding internal democracy.
“Holding these polls will cost us millions of shillings and time. However, we believe that ODM must constantly show it belongs to the people. Let’s utilize the resources we have have in a thoughtful manner. Let’s not destroy the electoral materials that have cost us so much because we’ll need them for use in other regions. I urge you to be mindful of that,” he posted on his Facebook page.
