The kind of anger Hon. Kaluma effused while addressing a presser earlier this week is good progress towards recasting Luo politics after a lull.
It is the anger which defeated one referendum and promulgated another.
It is the anger which poured millions to the ballot, defeating an incumbent during the day only to swear himself in at night.
It is the anger of those brave youths in that historic October, 1969.
It is the anger that drove that old woman to his early grave, believing in her infirm tribal bones that Uhuru had been defeated.
It is the anger of that young man, raising that famous placard inscribed: ‘What next Baba’.
It is the anger of that mad university student, posting: whether through ‘hate or fate’, it doesn’t matter now.
It is the anger of Hon. Gladys Wanga, bitterly interjecting: ‘poverty stricken MAR MERU’.
It is the anger of those three lawyers, telling MUTAHI Ngunyi: ‘Not anymore WUO BIM’.
It is the anger of that Kisumu youth, who, angered by mediocrity, pinpoints DISCREPANCIES!
It is the anger of a skinny boy with a funny who wins two elections in the pacific by shouting: YES WE CAN.
It is the anger of that one CHILD, born of virgin Mary, finally revealing: IT IS OVER!
