The Great Controversy: Ruto Tells CNN – KDF Looted Westgate, Corrective Measures In Place!

October 22, 2013

Hague based Deputy President William Ruto yesterday contradicted the official government position and confirmed to the world that KDF officers looted Westgate shops, Ruto was however quick to add that President Uhuru had ordered an inquiry that will lead to corrective measures.

The eloquent Ruto told CNN’s Zain Verje that events at Westgate were unfortunate, he expressed confidence that corrective measures will be taken.

Ruto’s acknowledgement is the exact opposite what Foreign Affairs Secretary Amina Mohammed told CNN last week in an interview with Connect the World host Becky Anderson.

Back home President Uhuru in a Mashujaa day speech praised the soldiers for the good work, ofcourse this was expected.

“And just like that, the spin masters have successfully changed the narrative on the Westgate attack. We are now more concerned with what KDF did, and to be honest, just a small fraction of the whole mission! Is this supposed to distract the public from asking the hard questions like which agencies slept on the job leading to the attack? You see, KDF may have used the scorched earth policy, but military world over do so!” noted Mukurima Muriuki

I think it is fair to forget What Ole Lenku, Rachel Omamo and  Asman Kamama told the public about the Westgate rescue mission……. WeAreOne

The contradiction in the government is a disaster an international relations expert told this reporter.

The anger expressed by Kenyan public even the president’s own online sycophants was shocking to the young regime, a testimony that  you cannot hide or substitute incompetence by/with employing extreme Public Relations Machine!

“Kenyans understand it was a terrorist attack BUT they dont understand why the government is trying so hard to conceal details, even America was attacked too, we dont expect our government to be perfect BUT we anticipate some level of honesty and openness in public affairs, we are not on a campaign trail for God’s sake” Joseph Thairu a Nairobi based governance expert who consults for government said
