When Bomet Governor Issac Ruto is asked, “Samoei is the leader of the Kalenjin. From where do you summon the courage to throw a spear into his court?†Samoei meaning, Deputy President William Ruto. Bomet Governor Ruto reply is, “I don’t know where Ruto is coming in. Does he not support devolution? If he is not, he has to come clear and explain to the people. Is he the one sending the MPs to insult me?â€

Bomet Governor Ruto can be summed up by a comment by Johnson Kamau who says “I applaud the Honorable Governor for his forthrightness and courage to speak out his mind. I see in him qualities of a genuine patriot who has the best interests of his own community as well as of the entire nation at heart. We definitely need more politicians with the caliber of Hon. Isaac Ruto in our beloved country so that we can truly experience freedom of speech and expression and socio-economic development. Keep up the good work, Hon. Governor!â€
