Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero yesterday renewed his development initiatives in Nyanza when he led other leaders in raising Ksh 13.5 Â million for Koru Girls secondary School in Kisumu County.
A message from the school thanked Dr Kidero and his team, which included Deputy National Assembly Speaker Dr Joyce Laboso alongside various local leaders from the region – Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, James Orengo among others.
“Our sincere and heartfelt gratitude goes out to H.E Dr Evans Kidero, the Governor of Nairobi County, for presiding over a fundraising event at the school today. A total of KSh 13.5 Million has been raised for the construction of an ultra modern dormitory that will accommodate 384 students,” posted the school on its Facebook page.

In the last KCSE Examinations, Koru Girls performed exemplary considering it is a district school. It postedÂ 8 A-; 12 B+; 20 Bs.
