I am posting this from a complex known as Tentex Enterprises at a business centre known as ‘En’ or may be just ‘N’. For starters, this place is along Waiyaki way, just after Mountain view. In the meantime, I wait to watch a soccer match pitting Manchester City and another team I do not yet know.
By the end of the 90 minutes of that match, City might take over leadership of the summit and push the free scoring Aristocrats to 2nd place. If they do that, and I hope they don’t, they may yet also relinquish that leadership to Arsenal on Tuesday morning. I doubt I will sit late to watch a match that begins at 11.00PM. I have got a job to do.
Talking of Aston Villa, I am reminded of the opening day EPL fixtures. Villa treated us to a befitting opener of the English season with a brilliant mauling of the hapless Londoners and I would not be wrong to suggest that fans of the beautiful game will be looking forward to a replay of a brilliant match.
Hey folks, I am not rooting for any team in this contest because neither of the protagonists threatens our quest. It is not Villa, it is not their opponents on Monday night. All I suggest is that anyone else who sacrifices his sleep to watch this late encounter should be rewarded with a beautiful game of football.
My prediction is that by the end of that game, City will still be at the helm with the London Aristocracy breathing hard down their necks. The Aristocracy will be waiting for the perfect opportunity to take over the mantle, which they will not relinquish until they are proclaimed Champions in May.
It breaks my hear that next weekend, it will be Manchester United’s turn to be mauled at fort Stamford bridge. Manchester United played brilliantly yesterday, especially in the second half to beat a battling Swansea side and they should have been given at least some other team and not Chelsea to build on their confidence.
It would have done them a lot of good for example if it was Arsenal they were meeting next weekend because that would mean two victories in a row, which is what they need to salvage their season. But that is fate for you. Lets wait and see what City has to offer this afternoon.
