It is only a few weeks ago that the CIC Chairman Charles Nyachae issued a long statement much over nothing but absolving himself from accusations that he was the hidden behind Jubilee candidate’s triumph in the just concluded Nyaribari Chache by election, well yesterday he put it on record.
It was hinted at the time that Chairman Nyachae was testing waters and laying ground to contest for Kisii gubernatorial slot come 2017.
Yesterday evening Nyachae took to Facebook where he made it clear his preference and way forwad, nobody is saying Nyachae has no right BUT that he need not struggle to hide that which is obvious; here is Chairman Nyachae’s congratulatory message to the two jubilee winners
“Good evening all! Two Members of Parliament from my home County were sworn into office this afternoon. My hearty congratulations to both Hon Joel Onyancha, Bomachoge Borabu, and Hon Richard Tong’i, Nyaribari Chache. I wish them well as they serve their respective constituents, the residents of Kisii County and the people of Kenya as a whole.
A special word of support and encouragement for my Member of Parliament, Hon Tong’i, who is in the house for the first time.:
Omwana ominto, I salute you and I am proud of you. You have the opportunity to make a mark and establish a legacy both as a national legislator and as our leader in Nyaribari Chache. Prioritise unity among our people. As you provide leadership, embrace consultation and public participation. Above all, remember always that, in your leadership, you have been anointed by God. May He guide you always, may He grant you wisdom, may He grant you courage.
On my part, as your constituent, you can always count on my support, in the service of our people.â€
