November 24, 2014

By Star
A picture has emerged of President Uhuru Kenyatta while on an official visit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, posing for a selfie with a woman outside what appears to be a hotel.

The woman calling herself msthandlicious and working with an media and events company, Footprint International based in Abu Dhabi, had posted the photo with the President on her instagram account. According the timeline, the photo was taken earlier on Monday

“Selfie with The Kenyan President. My life is so #dope and I do and meet dope people! #selfie #Kenya #president #uhuruKenyatta. Lovely man” the post on her Instagram page reads.

This follows the revelation that the President was one of the leaders who attended the final race of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix over the weekend.

According to an official statement from the events organisers, Uhuru was at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, UAE for this year’s final race of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday a day after 28 Kenyans were killed by suspected Al Shabaab militants in Mandera.

The news of the President attending the race and the photo are the only news of his activities since he travelled to Abu Dhabi for a four day official visit on Friday last week.

This, is unlike previous official visits where numerous photos and statements of his activities are posted. An insider said that the Uhuru is actually on holiday.

The President’s communication unit had released a statement over a trade agreement having being reached between the UAE and Kenya on Saturday.

However, Uhuru is not mentioned as one of those who attended the signing. The agreement was signed by Finance Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich.

On Friday, PSCU had communicated that during the trip which ends on Monday, the President will attend a series of bilateral meetings focused on expanding and deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest between Kenya and the UAE.

He was also to witness the signing of the trade agreement between Kenya and the UAE.
