Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko has handed over to President Uhuru the report which sets out how to deal with the 2008/08 post-election violence crimes perpetrated after the disputed elections.
President Kibaki rigged the elections, prompting widespread inter-ethnic violence across several regions in the country.
While receiving the report, President Uhuru said the it provides ”aÂ for a framework of dealing with what is acknowledged as one of the darkest periods in our nationâ€™s history”.
Meanwhile, President Uhuru also received theÂ ‘Mwongozo’ report Â which details a new Â code of Governance for State Corporations.
The document was prepared by the Presidential TaskForce on Parastatal Reforms headed by Â Isaac Awuondo, the Group Managing Director, Commercial Bank of Africa.
The document provides for a framework to implement the President’s Executive Order no. 6Â of 2015 aimed at rescuing the country from runaway corruption and wanton theft, including land grabbing.
