Despite a new jubilee-sponsored court case, Gov. Joho declares he’ll stick with ODM

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho over the weekend reiterated that he will stick with ODM and ODM Leader Raila Odinga despite a court case he is facing. The ODM Deputy Party Leader said his association with the Orange party and the ODM Leader remains intact ahead of the 2017 polls.

“I am probably the only governor who has had most cases in this country. This is because of my strong support for Raila and ODM.I voted for Raila in 2007 and 2013 and i am going to vote for him again in 2017.My shadow and blood is ODM,” said Gov. Hassan Joho

In October last year, the high court dismissed a case in which Jubilee Alliance activist Silas Otuke sued Joho for having a fake degree paper. A three-judge bench of justices Christine Meoli, Edward Muriithi and Martin Muya struck down the petition on the grounds that it amounted to abuse of the court process

The case, which dragged in both Kenyan and Uganda courts, did not end with finding of the High Court as Otuke again petitioned the DPP to re-look into the case, prompting Tobiko to order fresh investigations.

Jubilee has used the case to hold Joho with his balls, yet the Mombasa Governor maintains he will not join Jubilee any time soon. The case is coming up in court this week.
