According to statehouse blogger Dennis Itumbi, ICC witness Meshack Yebei (34 years old) who was abducted while going to buy medicine for his ailing child at a Turbo dispensary, and whose badly mutilated body was found dumped in Sugoi along river Yala, was a ‘sly and troublesome’ witness.
No one can tell what Itumbi meant but from the revealing tweet, it seems as far back as 2011, when he revealed that Yebei was indeed an ICC witness, the man had done all that he could to escape murderous attempts on his life.
When the disappearance of Yebei was first reported, by a Standard Newspaper journalist based in Eldoret, Â a text message he sent to his distraught family claimed he was in Uganda.
However, after several days of searching, police contacted the family after an unaccounted for body was found in a mortuary in Eldoret.
It was him and he was now dead, with body badly disfigured.
Itumbi, then a blogger on hire for candidate Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidential campaign, exposed Yebei in 2011. See tweet below.
Between 2011 and 2012, the then Kibaki government charged Itumbi, then a lowly street blogger, for hacking several websites including that of JetLink Airline. The ICC also sought to arrest Itumbi for Hacking its databases where he allegedly found the details of all the ICC witnesses especially on the Uhuru case.
The cases against Itumbi are still pending in court while some have been secretly cleared. It was also during that time that the National Intelligence Service found Itumbi to be having a fake diploma degree, having been admitted at Kenya Institute of Communication to pursue a certificate course.
Bloggers have raised various concerns regardimng Itumbi’s tweet back then>>>
