Leading telecommunications company Safaricom fired 56 employees between April last year and March this year. The employees were charged on offences ranging from disclosure of subscriber Â data without authorisation, financial fraud as well as SIM SWAP fraud.
The company also revealed it had a workforce of 4,037 of which 2,032 were males while 2,005 were females.
The company also also surpassed it Ksh 100,000 target of Lipa na M-Pesa to net some 122,000 merchants.
Company CEO Bob Collymore challenged banks to also reveal extent of fraud instances by their employees to weed corruption in the private sector.
