Coalition for Reforms and Democracy has demanded the government to reveal if there is an impersonal affair between President Uhuru and Devolution CS Anne Waiguru.

Speaking at Uhuru Park in support of teachers pay demands, several CORD leaders hinted there may be a relationship between the two which is hindering the fight against corruption.

The CORD leaders observed President Uhuru seems incapacitated on how to deal with corruption allegations in the devolution ministry headed by Waiguru yet he was decisive in suspending cabinet secretaries in other ministries.

Senators Boni Khalwale and Johnstone Muthama hit out at Waiguru, accusing her of using her impersonal relationship with the President to stay put on her job despite massive accountability issues around her.

Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka called on the government to dialogue with teachers instead of issuing empty threats while Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua urged government to stop wastage of public funds and end corruption to get money to pay teachers.

When he rose to speak, CORD Leader Raila Odinga blasted Waiguru even more. He said Waiguru is getting protection from President Uhuru yet her docket is leading in corruption and public wastage which has caused the government huge sums of money. Odinga once again reiterated that Ms Waiguru is corrupt and dismissed recent threats by Waiguru to sue him.

"Last year alone Uhuru & Ruto used over shs 67bn to hook women that money would have been used to pay teachers" Boni Khalwale
