CHAOS in Parliament as MPs KICK OUT OPPRESSIVE Bill

CHAOS in Parliament as MPs KICK OUT OPPRESSIVE Bill

December 18, 2014

There was chaos in the National Assembly on Thursday as Opposition MPs heckled and threw papers, forcing the Speaker Justin Muturi to suspend debate on the controversial Security Laws (Amendment) Bill 2014.

An attempt by National Security Committee chairman Asman Kamama to propose amendments to the law were drowned as CORD lawmakers sang the ‘Bado Mapambano’ (the struggle continues) song.

Orderlies surrounded the Mace amid fears it could grabbed by the Opposition MPs.

Muturi ordered the ejection of opposition Senators including Johnson Muthama, James Orengo and Boni Khalwale who were seated in the Speaker’s gallery before he declared the House suspended for at least half an hour in a bid to restore decorum.
