The government’s much hyped war on terror failed to reflect on budgetary allocations to the country’s sole organ charged with fighting terrorism. First Lady Margaret Kenyatta’s office  has been allocated a whooping Ksh 72 million out of which Ksh 40 million is meant for “hospitality supplies and services†– money for flowers, tea, drinks, cakes, and gifts
The allocation for ATPU – Anti-terrorism Police Unit – is Ksh 28 million. This is Ksh 12 million less than the entertainment allowance of the president’s spouse and Ksh 44 million less than the total allocation to the same office of the First Lady.
Meaning, the enjoyment of the first lady and her handlers ranks higher than the protection of over 40 million kenyans.
