BREAKING: Uhuru NOMINEE for Inspector General of Police REJECTED by Parliament, Ruto in TROUBLE

THE appointment of Joseph Boinett as the next police boss hangs in the balance after the majority of MPs on Monday voted to reject his nomination.

The Joint Committee of the National Assembly and Senate retreated to Boma Hotel in the city on Sunday to write its report on Boinett’s suitability after vetting him on Thursday last week.

However, as of last Monday evening, three-quarters of the Joint Committee on Administration and National Security (National Assembly), chaired by Tiaty MP Asman Kamama, and the National Security and Foreign Affairs Committee (Senate), led by Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji, voted twice to reject the nominee.

The basis for the rejection is that the nominee’s academic papers are questionable.
