President Uhuru’s top ally and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has now confessed that he was involved in procuring witnesses in the ICC case against Deputy President William Ruto.
The controversial legislator, who spoke during prayers for the Deputy President in Mt Elgon, claims he did it together with NARC Kenya chairperson Martha Karua. Hon Karua was not immediately available for comment after her calls went unanswered. She had not responded to a text message sent to her by time of posting this news bit.
“It was all about political competition and I am ready to testify in The Hague,†Kuria said.
The revelation comes at a time when ICC judges have unsealed warrants for two Kenyans, including a lawyer—all accused of influencing witnesses.
He narrated to the gathering in Mt Elgon how they sourced for witnesses to testify against the Deputy President, opening up a new controversy on the cases–with Ruto himself and legislators loyal to him having earlier said he was fixed by unnamed people.
The arrogant MP had the audacity to narrate the evil scheme to members of the Kalenjin community in their backyard. URP brigade must in shame now that Kuria has made it public that they lied to masses in Kalenjinland that Raila fixed Ruto in the Hague case.
The confession by Kuria is a shame to URP politicians who consistently blamed Prime Minister Raila Odinga for Ruto’s troubles in the Hague. A Statehouse blogger has also previously insisted that members of the civil society were to blame for Ruto’s troubles in the Hague.
