Breaking sad: Hon. Bonnie Khalwale’s 1st wife is dead

Former Kakamega Senator Bonie Khalwale’s first wife Adelaide has died.

Adelaide Khalwale succumbed to cancer while receiving treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) cancer on Saturday morning.

Khalwale said that lady Adelaide has been battling with cancer since 2003.

She is survived with two sons and one daughter.

Before her demise, Adelaide worked at Masinde Muliro University as a secretary.

“May God rest her soul in eternal peace” Khalwale said.

Deputy President William Ruto led leaders in condoling with Khalwale and his family.

“Condolences to the family and friends of Hon Khalwale for the loss of your wife, Adelaide. Mama Adelaide was a pillar in your life, generous and kind. Thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones. Rest in Peace,” Ruto said.

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya said he learnt with deep sorrow and sadness the passing on of mama Adelaide.

“The late Adelaide was a loving and dependable wife and mother to her family and a dedicated public servant at Masinde Muliro University where she was a member of staff,” he said.

“On behalf of my family and the entire Kakamega County, I send my heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of the late Adelaide and pray to God to give them the strength to bear her tragic loss.”
